Terms & Conditions

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of interior design services by Silt & Form ("we", "us", "our"), a design studio based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. By engaging our services or submitting an enquiry through our website at siltandf.blog, you acknowledge that you have read and agreed to these terms.

These terms apply to all three service offerings: Balance Assessment, Balanced Design Package, and Smooth Execution. Where a written service agreement is signed between the parties, that agreement takes precedence over these general terms in any area of conflict.

2. Our Services

We offer the following services to residential and commercial clients in Malaysia:

Balance Assessment

MYR 450

A site consultation covering spatial dynamics, written assessment, and curated references. Delivered within one week from the confirmed site visit date. Suitable for homes and small commercial environments.

Balanced Design Package

MYR 3,300

A comprehensive design service including spatial planning, material specification, furniture selection, lighting calibration, 3D visualisation, two revision sessions, and complete project specifications. Timeline of 6–10 weeks.

Smooth Execution

MYR 1,700

Project support covering procurement coordination, contractor management, quality monitoring, and a final arrangement session. Duration of 8–14 weeks depending on project scope.

3. Enquiries and Proposals

Submitting an enquiry through our website or by phone does not constitute a binding agreement between the parties. A formal engagement commences only upon the signing of a service agreement and receipt of any applicable deposit as outlined in Section 4.

We aim to respond to all enquiries within two business days. We reserve the right to decline any project or enquiry at our discretion, including where we determine a project falls outside our area of expertise or capacity.

4. Payment Terms

Deposits and Milestones

Accepted Payment Methods

We accept bank transfers (DuitNow/IBG) and cheques payable to Silt & Form. All amounts are in Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) and are subject to applicable taxes where required by law.

Late Payments

Where payment is not received by the agreed due date, we reserve the right to pause work on the project until outstanding balances are settled. We will communicate any such pause in advance where possible.

6. Revisions and Scope Changes

Each service package includes a defined number of revision sessions as outlined in Section 2. Revisions beyond the included sessions, or requests that represent a significant change to the agreed project scope, will be discussed and quoted separately before work proceeds.

We aim to accommodate evolving needs where possible and will communicate any implications for timeline or fees in writing before any additional work begins.

7. Timelines and Delays

Timelines provided at the outset of each service are indicative and subject to factors outside our direct control, including supplier lead times, contractor availability, and the pace of client approvals.

We will keep clients informed of any material changes to expected timelines. Where a delay is attributable to a failure on the client's part to provide required information or approvals, the timeline will be adjusted accordingly.

8. Intellectual Property

All design concepts, drawings, visualisations, mood boards, and written documentation produced by Silt & Form remain our intellectual property until full payment for the relevant service has been received.

Upon receipt of full payment, the client is granted a non-transferable licence to use the deliverables for the specific project for which they were produced. We retain the right to use project images and descriptions for portfolio and marketing purposes, subject to client privacy preferences communicated in writing.

9. Cancellations

Either party may end the engagement in writing. The following conditions apply:

Where we cancel an engagement due to circumstances on our side, we will refund any amounts paid for work not yet delivered.

10. Limitation of Liability

Our liability in connection with any service is limited to the fees paid for that specific service. We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the use of our designs or advice, including losses arising from contractor performance or material quality after delivery.

We do not provide structural engineering, quantity surveying, or legal advice. Clients should engage appropriately qualified professionals for these matters.

11. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia. We are, however, always open to resolving matters through open dialogue before any formal process is considered.

12. Amendments to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Changes will be published on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Engagements commenced prior to an update remain governed by the terms in effect at the time of signing, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
